Guessport Privacy Policy

Effective August 25, 2026

The short version

Guessport does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. Your streaks, scrapbook, and XP live on your device and in your own iCloud. There is no server on our side and no analytics.

What the app stores

Your game results, streak, scrapbook cards, XP, and settings are stored locally on your device and backed up to the iCloud account signed in on that device, so your progress follows you to your other devices and survives a lost phone. That copy lives in your own iCloud storage under Apple's privacy policy; we cannot read it. A core set of photos ships inside the app so the daily puzzle works offline; the full photo library streams from a content delivery network and is cached on your device. "Delete all my data" in the Account tab wipes everything the app stored, on the device and in iCloud.

Advertising

The free version shows small banner ads through Google AdMob after a game and in some menus, never during play. Ad serving may involve Google processing your device's advertising identifier under Google's privacy policy. Guessport Pro removes all ads. We do not share any gameplay data with advertisers.

Game Center

If you sign in to Game Center, Apple manages the leaderboard under Apple's privacy policy. We never see your Apple Account or personal details.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. We receive no payment details. Purchase state is verified on-device through Apple's StoreKit.

Sharing

If you share a result, iOS's share sheet handles it. Nothing is shared unless you explicitly choose to share it.

Photos and country data

Photos in Guessport are sourced from Wikimedia Commons under free licenses; tap the info button on any photo in the app to see the photographer and the license. Photos are delivered from our public content library through the jsDelivr CDN; those requests are plain file downloads and carry no account or identity information, though like any web request they expose your IP address to the CDN under its own privacy policy. Country data comes from the open mledoze/countries dataset.

Children

Guessport does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will appear here and in the App Store listing before it takes effect.
